Longarm Quilting
We want all of our customers to experience the impressive level of professionalism when working with Riverport Quilting.
All our longarm quilting services exist to make your life easier, stress free and give you a beautiful quilt at the end. When you want the patchwork to shine or a softer result for the quilt choose between a Stitch-in-the-ditch or an all over edge-to-edge design. When you want the quilting to highlight particular parts of your quilt top or you have that special top which needs a more personal approach choose custom quilting.
You can trust us to only use the best products. Currently we use Bosal Katahdin 100% organic cotton for lots of our quilts. If a higher loft is required we use a wool batting and for those preferring synthetic battings we use Hobbs Tuscany.
We use Aurifil 50wt cotton threads for Stitch-in-the-ditch quilting and either 40wt Aurifil cotton thread or 40wt Glide polyester thread for most other quilting. If there is to be a large amount of quilting we may suggest using a 60wt or 80wt Superior Threads polyester thread.

Quilting Costs

Pricing Made Simple, Doing Business the Right Way.
We always try to be completely up front about our costs. In doing so we have decided to itemise each of the consumable components separately. Currently we price our quilting by the square inch. So, on a 60 inch by 70 inch quilt 60 X 70 = 4200 square inches.
All Over edge-to-edge quilting is between 1.5p and 2.0p per square inch. Stitch-in-the-ditch and custom quilting can vary depending on how many different designs and the complexity of the designs wanted. The costs of these range from 1.8p per square inch to 4.0p per square inch.
Batting/Wadding
We offer 3 types of batting/wadding for your quilt middle.
To 100% organic cotton (96” wide) is £10.50 per metre.
To Hobbs Tuscany polyester (96” wide) is £8.25 per metre'.
To Hobbs Tuscany washable wool (96” wide) is £16.50 per metre'.
If you would like to supply your own batting/wadding that is fine. We make no charge for this unless we have to supplement it.
